We are a philatelic group specialising in all forms of Polar Philately. Our club was formed in 1974 to promote and develop Polar Philately. It is affiliated with the Philatelic Association of NSW (PHILAS) and has a long-held association with the American Society of Polar Philatelists.
This is a club for all collectors of all ages who are interested in stamps, covers and postal history of the Antarctic or Arctic polar regions. Based in Sydney, the Society represents Polar Philately throughout Australia and Overseas. Our interests cover all the countries with active programs at either Pole.
Our club produces a well-regarded journal called ‘Penguin Views’. Membership of the ASFPP gives you exlusive access to 3 issues each year - each one packed with interesting articles, news and views. It alone is worth the cost of membership!
We also have an active Facebook group where we swap news, stamps and other information.
We welcome everyone interested in Antarctic and Arctic postal covers, stamps and history. You can join the Society for only $20 per year here. In return you get:
Access to all of the website including our ever-expanding Research Library
Penguin Views, our club journal published 3 times a year
Participation in our annual auction
Group meetings 6 times a year.
Not to mention the opportunity to join a group of people who share your passion for polar history and philately!
