A Forgotten Age
While purchasing a copy of the book "Chronological List of Antarctic Expeditions and Related Historical Events" by D.K. Headland, I stumbled across another item of polar interest at the same antiquary. I thought it worth sharing. If for no other reason than the glimpse it offers into the heroic age of polar exploration.

If you really like it, then for less than AUD 4,000 it can be yours! More details on the antiquarian site of Bernard Quaritch Ltd.
I can also heartily recommend Robert Headland's massive "Chronological List of Antarctic Expeditions and Related Historical Events". Although out of print, you can find copies for sale via the internet. Amazon lists several copies. Since the original publication in 1989, it has been expanded and reissued. As far as I know the 2011 paperback edition is the most recent. At 700+ pages, it is no small item to ship to Australia, but trust me, it is worth it!
